Nova Group has announced a new leadership appointment, with Anna Lenerová stepping into the newly created role of Director of Sports Acquisition and Pay-TV Channels. Lenerová will be responsible for developing strategy and acquiring sports broadcasting rights, as well as managing pay-TV channels and third-party services. She is also a key member of the team overseeing the development of Nova Group‘s new Oneplay service.
The executive joins TV Nova from O2, where she served as Head of TV Content since 2010. During her tenure at O2 TV, she was involved in acquiring a range of premium sports rights, including those for the Tipsport Ice Hockey Extraliga, the Chance Football League, and the UEFA Champions League.
She stated, ‘I’m excited about this new challenge. Together with my team, we are focused on further developing the content offering for Oneplay customers. At the same time, we continue to oversee content acquisitions for pay-TV services Yettel and O2 in Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, and Bulgaria’.
Prior to her role at O2, Lenerová gained experience at the UK-based company Zone Vision and its successor, Chello Central Europe, where her responsibilities included marketing and PR activities in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Southeast European markets.
