Hong Kong based global content distributor O4 Media has negotiated the sale of Korean drama series to Emax Media in Pakistan. Due to launch in November this year, the series will broadcast on Pakistan’s first Urdu OTT platform, owned by the company UrduFlix.
‘We are delighted to continue the longstanding working relationship we have with both South Korea and Pakistan. We have experienced in the past the impact Turkish drama has had in Pakistan and hope this deal is the first of many Korean dramas entering the Pakistani market’, said Gary Pudney, Founder and Managing Director, O4 Media.

Sebastian Kim, Head of International Sales & Acquisitions, CJ ENM, added: ‘We are very happy to be working with O4 Media in bringing CJ ENM content to Pakistan. This is an exciting deal for us, and we look forward to working closely with our industry friends in Pakistan well into the future’.
And Syed Farhan Gauher Zaidi, CEO, Emax Media and Marketing, concluded: ‘Being able to secure such high quality South Korean drama, we are delighted to be able to finalise this deal with O4 Media. We look forward to continuing a fruitful partnership with O4 Media and CJ ENM’.
