OGM Universe bets on global titles and content for OTTs

OGM Universe is presenting a robust offering of Turkish series at ATF 2024 while reaffirming its strategy for global expansion and collaborations. Led by Ekin Koyuncu Karaman, Head of Distribution and Global Partnerships, the company’s diverse catalog features intense dramas, love stories, and series with elements of historical fantasy.

Koyuncu Karaman highlighted three key productions: Şehrazat, Kral Kaybederse, and 6 of Us (Sahipsizler). The latter tells the story of six siblings who, after losing their parents in a violent attack, struggle to survive in Istanbul. Directed by Cem Karcı, the series delves into themes of resilience and familial unity amidst a dangerous environment, resonating with international audiences through its emotional depth.

Among OGM’s high-quality offerings is also Dilemma (Düğüm), a thriller about a journalist facing a moral conflict as she must choose between uncovering the truth and protecting her son, who is a murder suspect. Set to stream on Amazon Prime, this production underscores OGM’s commitment to impactful narratives and ethical dilemmas that resonate globally.

6 of Us (Sahipsizler), family drama

OGM Universe also spotlighted the international success of The Tailor (Terzi), a tale of love and betrayal set against the vibrant backdrop of Istanbul. Acquired by Netflix and with three seasons completed, the series has proven successful in Turkey and other markets, solidifying OGM’s role as a major player in global distribution.

Other standout productions include the romantic comedy When a Man Loves (Erkek Severse) and the historical fantasy drama Miracle of Love (Yüz Yıllık Mucize), rounding out a varied catalog designed to appeal to diverse audiences.
