This year apart from licensing its content to traditional and digital platforms across the globe, One Life Studios (India) has a huge focus on collaborations with affiliates / partners and are looking at investing in content for remakes & local adaptations for India.
This is one of the main objectives of the company at ATF Online+ through Sonal Gupta, Senior Director & Head, Content & Alliances, who explains to Prensario: ‘We are on the lookout for popular yet one of a kind exciting content which we can adapt / remake for Indian audiences across the world’.
And she continues: ‘With the Pandemic having setback the industry drastically the last two years, we are gearing up for the next year with a fantastic line-up of upcoming projects which will include edgy web series, movies and even more fantastic content. For example, we have recently acquired the Local adaptation rights for The Cleaning Lady, the popular Argentinian series which was commissioned by Warner Bros to be produced and launched at Fox in USA next year. We will start production by the beginning of 2022’.
Having entered into partnerships with some amazing content houses, One Life Studios catalogue boasts of content which suits the requirement of every platform (worldwide) and encompassing every possible genre. ‘While there are no defined territories for our business, “Yes South East Asia” will always remain our prime market.
At ATF, the company highlights three webseries: Mom & Co. about the mother and its multiple roles. This essence is beautifully captured in the 10- episode series that narrates the story of Suhasini Rao, a single mother and home-maker and her son Aditya Rao, an HR professional.
