Pipeline Studios (Alma’s Way) has hired Jane Crawford as its first Senior Vice President of Production and Operations. The announcement was an exclusive made by the company to Kidscreen.
Under this role, Crawford has to manage Pipeline‘s growth plans and oversee operations in Canada, Latin America and Europe. She will also support the expansion of the company’s development and production capabilities.
This announcement see the light after Pipeline’s latest series launch, Work It Out Wombats!, which premiered last week on PBS KIDS. Next, Lyla in the Loop (40 x 30 minutes) is also destined for the American public broadcaster. The STEM-focused series aimed at the four-to-eight demo was greenlit last month and should premiere in early 2024.
Crawford joins Pipeline after a 12-year career at Nelvana, where her most recent role was studio head. In total, she produced over 400 half hours at the Canadian studio and has series credits including the 2D animated Esme & Roy (103 x 11 minutes) with Sesame Workshop and the live-action Miss Persona (52 x 3 minutes).
Prior to Nelvana, Crawford served as a producer at companies including Cookie Jar Entertainment (Caillou) and CORE Digital Pictures (Chop Socky Chooks).
