Rai Italia, through its subsidiary Rai Com, maintains a significant presence in international broadcasting, connecting Italians worldwide with their homeland. With a reach spanning 174 countries across five continents and over 200 partnerships, Rai Com distributes various channels tailored to the needs of the Italian diaspora.

In European markets, Rai Com offers a diverse selection of channels, including: Rai, the flagship channel providing a variety of programming, including entertainment, news, and cultural content; Rai Italia, specifically designed for Italians living abroad, featuring a mix of series, films, and programs relevant to Italian culture and current affairs; Rai News 24, a news channel offering continuous updates on Italian and international news; Rai World Premium, showcasing high-quality programming, including popular films and series; and Rai Radio 1, a radio channel broadcasting a range of content, from news to entertainment, accessible to international listeners.

In European markets, Rai Com focuses on its traditional channels, which include: Rai 1, the main channel offering a mix of news, entertainment, and educational content; Rai 2, featuring a diverse range of programming, including dramas, comedies, and reality shows; and Rai Scuola, an educational channel designed to support learning and cultural exchange. Through these channels, Rai Com plays a crucial role in maintaining the connection between Italians abroad and their cultural roots, making Italian content accessible to a broad audience.

Rai Italia is the mainstream channel for Italians abroad. The channel can be described as a “best of” of the Rai generalist networks, plus original productions specifically realized for the Italians viewers living outside our country and Italy lovers, for a total of almost 9.000 hours per year.

Leveraging the success of Rai Play in Italy, Rai Com is following the achievements of its linear channels worldwide and is set to introduce a new subscription tier of SVOD for its dedicated Rai subscribers as well as for non-subscribers worldwide. The platform, RAI ITALIA+, will be tailored for Italians and Italian-speaking viewers and it will feature a comprehensive range of RAI content, including TV series, movies, documentaries, entertainment programs, animation.
