Spain’s broadcaster RTVE, presents a preview of its latest fiction productions at ATF 2023, the event taking place in Cannes from December 5 to 8. With a portfolio of content across all genres, the company highlights its recent original productions and more.
One of its main titles is Operación Barrio Ingles (8×60′). It is a drama/thriller that follows spies, Nazis, British and a risky love story set in Huelva in 1940, a city where the conflicts of World War II are reproduced on a smaller scale.
They also present Salón de té La Moderna (120×55′). This is a feature-length drama set in Madrid in 1930. The Spanish capital is a scene of great changes and with an effervescent intellectual and cultural universe, but the unstable political and social environment that spreads throughout the country deeply permeates its inhabitants. However, there is a select local, near the Puerta del Sol, where problems and conflicts do not cross the door, is the tea room «La Moderna».
Another of the main titles presented by RTVE is 4 Estrellas (127×45′). It is a contemporary, romantic, long-running family comedy that takes place at Hotel Lasierra, a family business that has just received its fourth star, at the worst possible moment. Clara, Rita, Marta and Silvia are the four stars of this series, and they will have to put their differences aside to move the hotel forward.
Meanwhile, Esto no es Suecia (8×40′), narrates the contradiction that a couple of young parents encounter when protecting their children from the dangers of life. It is a production filmed in Catalan, Spanish, English and Swedish.
Finally, The Promise(122×50′) is a full-length drama, where the main ingredients are a woman, revenge and a great love story. Can love quench the thirst for revenge? Can you forget those who ruined your life? Your mother’s murderers? Those who made your brother disappear?
