Javier Gonzalez Nuñez is attending MIPCOM 2025 in his new role as the Commercial Director for RTVE Spain. Marking his first market appearance since assuming the position, Gonzalez Nuñez emphasized the broadcaster’s strategy of prioritizing product quality and consistency in the face of market challenges.

Gonzalez Nuñez noted that the company remains optimistic about navigating market fluctuations. He stated that RTVE is capitalizing on a strong period of international recognition for its series.
‘Beyond the ups and downs of the markets, you must always focus on product quality and be consistent over time. There may be difficult years, but then the good times come again’, Gonzalez Nuñez said.
The executive highlighted the recent string of international awards momentum. After Cuéntame became a previously awarded product, RTVE has now achieved three consecutive years of international recognition. This recent success includes wins for La Moderna, Playa Salvaje, and Ena.
The exec concluded that RTVE is starting this new phase with strong morale across both its international content sales and its channel operations.
