Series Mania Forum, one of the largest and most prestigious TV series festivals in Europe is taking place in Lille from March 15 to 22. This 2024, TAICCA, Taiwan’ s Creative Content Agency is promoting Taiwanese content and talent, showcasing the strong white power that exists in the region.
The first Taiwanese series selected for its international panorama is Three Tears in Borneo. It is a historical drama from Taiwan Public Television that shows the perspective of a group of Taiwanese prisoners of war. TAICCA will also promote five other Taiwanese series to international industry representatives in order to highlight Taiwan’s strong and vibrant entertainment scene.
The titles following Three Tears in Borneo are: Maid of Revenge, Age of Flora, Our Quiet Days, No Hero and Seven Sins: Greed Kills. TAICCA will also showcase 61 Taiwanese series at its Taiwan Pavilion.
In addition, during the Series Mania forum, Sheng-Jung Phil Tang, producer of Taiwan’s Greener Grass Productions, discusses how to understand the interest of owning the intellectual property of the series for the Global platform. Meanwhile, San Lin, senior film agent of Taiwan’s Grayhawk Agency, shares his thoughts on promotions of the novel Before We Were Monsters in global markets during the expert panel organized by SCELF.
The «Shoot the Book!» panel, and the «Serial Bridges» international series development workshop are events that TAICCA organizes to further promote Taiwanese talent and content. Both are part of an international serial development program to foster talent development for six selected serial projects.
TAICCA strengthened its partnership with France’s Centre national du cinéma et de l’image animée (CNC) to boost Taiwanese audiovisual and animation content in Europe. These partnerships are important for Taiwanese content creators to connect with the international industry.
