SIC International Distribution rides high with global hits

SIC International Distribution is riding a wave of momentum following a highly successful April, during which the channel claimed the top spot in viewership, a testament to its strong programming and connection with audiences.

Since its debut, the telenovela has captivated audiences, maintaining its reign as the most-watched daily drama. With compelling performances from acclaimed actors like Vitória Guerra, Joana Ribeiro, and Joana Santos, and stunning visuals filmed in the enchanting village of Sintra, Broken Promise has proven to be both a domestic ratings leader and an international standout. The show’s universal themes of love, betrayal, and redemption continue to resonate with audiences around the world.

SIC’s original content also continues to break ground. Season 7 of The Good Girls Club recently premiered and is making headlines with its suspense-filled plot, unexpected twists, and powerhouse female ensemble cast including Margarida Vila-Nova and Anabela Moreira. The new season promises high-stakes drama as the club’s birthday celebration spirals into chaos. Already sold to over 20 countries and available on both OPTO and Prime Video, The Good Girls Club has become a flagship title for the distributor.

Adding to the company’s strong performance is the continuous growth of its SVOD platform, OPTO, which recently hit a record number of subscribers. Looking ahead to 2025, SIC International Distribution is gearing up for a year filled with major launches. Additionally, the company is preparing for a major fiction premiere set to debut during the second edition of the Tribeca Festival in Lisbon, running from October 30 to November 1.
