SoFast: expanding FAST reach

Yanai Arfi, CEO

In just four years, Paris-based technology provider SoFast has established itself as a formidable engine in the global streaming economy, creating over 780 FAST channels and securing distribution across more than 220 platforms worldwide.

The company, which positions itself as a ‘global pioneer’, offers a complete end-to-end platform designed to transform VOD libraries into fully branded live channels. However, unlike many competitors who focus solely on CTV environments, SoFast is differentiating itself by bridging the gap between new-age streaming and traditional broadcast infrastructures.

SoFast’s unique selling proposition lies in its distribution philosophy. While most FAST enablers target standard OTT and CTV platforms, SoFast claims to be the only player providing «full distribution» that extends to MVNOs, vMVNOs, ISPs, and Cable TV operators globally.

This strategy allows rights holders to reach audiences outside the typical «app ecosystem,» integrating ad-supported channels directly into the set-top boxes and service packages of telecom operators.

Functioning as a comprehensive Tech Provider, SoFast aims to remove the technical friction for publishers. Its cloud-based suite handles content scheduling, SSAI, metadata management, and analytics.

‘Publishers don’t need to handle the technical aspects of their FAST channel’, Yanai Arfi, CEO, highlighting its turnkey creation and playout solution. This allows broadcasters and rights owners to focus on content strategy while SoFast manages the infrastructure required to generate ad-based revenue streams.

To further bolster its operator-grade capabilities, SoFast has highlighted its strategic combination with PikoTV. By merging SoFast’s content monetization expertise with PikoTV’s regional deployment and support infrastructure, the partnership aims to deliver a scalable solution that meets the rigorous standards of traditional broadcast operators while leveraging the flexibility of the cloud.
