Taiwan Pavilion Draws Heavy Traffic and Global Interest at ATF 2025

At this year’s Asia TV Forum & Market, one of the consistently crowded corners of the show floor was the Taiwan Pavilion. Under the coordination of the Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA), the space presented an impressive offering of more than 260 scripted, unscripted, and animated titles—quickly becoming a key meeting point for buyers navigating the Singapore market.

The Buyer’s Lunch Taiwan Spotlight event was a full house, with over 200 international buyers and industry professionals in attendance.

Across the three days, exhibitors reported a noticeable shift: more people stopping by, more questions, and a clearer appetite for Taiwanese IP. Major platforms and international broadcasters remarked on the territory’s rising profile, fueled by stronger performances on global streamers, frequent festival exposure, and a slate that leans decisively into genre and international accessibility.

The momentum came into sharper focus on December 3 with Buyer’s Lunch: Taiwan Spotlight, a gathering that drew over 200 executives from platforms, broadcasters, and distribution outfits around the world. Five companies—Lusasa Animation, Xanthus Animation Studio, Flash Forward Entertainment, Brilliant Animation Studios, and True Fun Entertainment—took the stage to introduce new projects and underline the depth of Taiwan’s creative talent in both animation and live-action.

For TAICCA CEO Erica Wang, the turnout reflected a milestone in the agency’s long-term strategy. Addressing attendees, she pointed to the growing recognition that Taiwanese content enjoys on the international circuit, and reaffirmed TAICCA’s mission to connect creators with global partners through co-productions, creative exchange, and cross-border investment. “Our goal,” she emphasized, “is to ensure Taiwan’s stories take their rightful place on the world map.”

The Taiwanese delegation also received the support of TUNG Chen-yuan, Taiwan’s Representative to Singapore, who underscored how deeply Taiwanese pop culture has rooted itself in the region. He noted that Taiwanese dramas, films, and animation have maintained dedicated audiences in Singapore and Malaysia for more than two decades. With this momentum, he said, the market offers fertile ground for new partnerships.

And the results began materializing on the spot. Fiona Lo, CEO of True Fun Entertainment, described the lunch as a rare channel to meet potential partners who would otherwise be difficult to access from Taiwan. She also highlighted the strong presence of buyers from India, which opened unexpected doors for future deals.

For Lusasa Animation, the interest came quickly as well. Founder and Producer Chen Hsin-i shared that companies from India, Singapore, and Hong Kong reached out proactively after the session—an encouraging sign of how TAICCA’s international efforts have lowered barriers and expanded visibility for Taiwanese studios.

At Brilliant Animation Studios, Producer Tintin Li said that several conversations begun at the pavilion have already moved to concrete follow-up, with the team optimistic about turning them into new business.

With crowded tables, back-to-back meetings, and a well-received industry showcase, the Taiwan Pavilion closed ATF 2025 with the sense of a territory stepping confidently into the global spotlight—its stories, talent, and creative ambition increasingly resonating far beyond Asia.
