Tokyo Broadcasting System Television (TBS) has signed a remake option agreement with Turkish production company MOST PRODUCTION for Le Bel Homme, a 1999 drama written by Shinji Nojima. If produced, this will be the second international adaptation of the series, following a South Korean version released in 2019.

MOST PRODUCTION, founded in 1985 by Mustafa and Gül Oğuz, has developed various successful Turkish dramas and international remakes. The Turkish adaptation of Le Bel Homme will be scripted by Ipek Kadilar, known for her work on Flames of Desire and Glass Mask. This project will be her first adaptation of a Japanese drama.
Jun Fukai, General Manager of TBS Global Business Development, expressed confidence in the partnership with MOST PRODUCTION, noting the company’s history of producing successful adaptations.
The drama follows Kyosuke, a plastic surgeon, who is approached by a woman named Miyuki seeking to change her appearance. Her request stems from a need to escape an abusive relationship. Initially reluctant, Kyosuke agrees after learning about her circumstances. She allows him to choose her new face, and he ultimately reconstructs the likeness of his late wife. Their relationship deepens as Miyuki’s past and the truth about Kyosuke’s wife’s death come to light.
MOST PRODUCTION has developed multiple successful Turkish dramas, including Second Spring and Sıla, which have achieved widespread international viewership. The company has also produced Turkish adaptations of international series, such as Hayat Şarkısı.
TBS has been actively involved in international content distribution for over 50 years, licensing dramas, variety shows, and animation to more than 160 countries. The company’s content portfolio includes Hanzawa Naoki, Ninja Warrior, and Takeshi’s Castle. In recent years, TBS has expanded into streaming, IP licensing, publishing, and theme parks.
