Telefilms arrives at MIPCOM 2026 with a selection of five highlighted films for the international market, reinforcing its position as an independent distributor of film content across Latin America. With more than 60 years of experience in the audiovisual industry, the company has a presence throughout Latin America, as well as Spain, Portugal and South Africa, while continuing to strengthen its content production activities in Mexico, Brazil and Argentina.

Among the titles presented by Telefilms in Cannes is I Play Rocky, a biographical film directed by Peter Farrelly and starring Anthony Ippolito, AnnaSophia Robb and Matt Dillon. Running 2 hours and 8 minutes, the film tells the inspiring story behind Rocky, following a struggling actor who writes the ultimate underdog story and fights for the opportunity to play the role of a lifetime: Rocky Balboa. The lineup also includes The Invite, a comedy-drama directed by Olivia Wilde, who stars alongside Seth Rogen, Penélope Cruz and Edward Norton. The film follows a couple whose relationship is on the verge of falling apart when their upstairs neighbors arrive for dinner, turning an already difficult night into an increasingly chaotic situation.
The action slate features Runner, directed by Scott Waugh and starring Alan Ritchson, Owen Wilson and Kate Box. The film follows Frank, a courier tasked with transporting an organ that could save a young recipient’s life, but the mission becomes a dangerous race against time when a ruthless crime boss attempts to seize it. The selection also includes Fjord, a 2-hour, 26-minute drama directed by Cristian Mungiu and starring Renate Reinsve, Sebastian Stan and Lisa Loven Kongsli. Inspired by true events, the film follows a conservative Romanian father, his Norwegian wife and their five children after they relocate to her remote birthplace in the Norwegian fjords. When their teenage daughter arrives at school with visible bruises, an investigation by child welfare services and local police triggers a conflict between the family’s traditional values and the Scandinavian welfare system.
Rounding out the selection is By Any Means, an action drama directed by Elegance Bratton and starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Mark Wahlberg and Nicole Beharie. Based on a true story, the film follows a young Black FBI agent investigating the murders of civil rights leaders in 1960s Mississippi. Forced to work with Mafia hitman Greg Scarpa, he becomes involved in a dangerous manhunt where the boundaries between justice and revenge begin to blur.
