The future is here: how to grow in the age of AI

Guy Gadney CEO & Founder, Charismatic.ai

As part of MIPJunior, Guy Gadney, CEO and founder of Charismatic.ai, presented the panel “Tips for Growth in an AI World”, a practical session that sought to demonstrate how artificial intelligence can become a strategic ally for producers and creators of children’s content.

‘The important thing is not to accelerate existing models, but to think about what we can do today that was previously impossible,’ said Gadney at the start of the talk, in which he reviewed the profound changes the industry is undergoing: the decline of traditional content, the fragmentation of audiences and the consolidation of new platforms driven by the creator economy.

Using concrete examples, the executive explained how AI tools allow intellectual property to be developed from scratch, generating scripts, animations, voices and music, optimizing budgets and reducing production times without sacrificing quality. To illustrate this, he presented the short film Carnival, created in just three weeks using automated processes and human collaboration, and recently nominated for the C21 Media awards.

Gadney insisted that the real change is not technological, but structural: ‘Imagine a world without commissioners. Today, a good idea can be tested directly with the public, on TikTok or YouTube, and evolve according to their response.’ That immediate feedback, he added, redefines the production cycle and opens up opportunities for small studios that previously could not compete.

The CEO of Charismatic.ai encouraged producers to experiment with AI without fear: ‘There are no magic buttons, but there are new creative paths. Trying, failing and learning quickly is key.’ With a collaborative and multimodal approach, Gadney stressed that the stories of the future will not depend on a single channel or format, but on their ability to connect with audiences in constant motion.

‘We are living through a creative revolution. And the best way to grow is to start playing with it now’ he concluded.
