TIS Studios, the leading regional production company with over 26 years of experience, is attending MIPCOM 2025 with a diverse slate of premium series and thrillers, building on its history of producing content across 15 countries in Latin America. The studio, formerly known as FoxTelecolombia and Estudios TeleMéxico, continues to collaborate with major industry players like Paramount while maintaining its independent position.
The lineup features high-concept crime and suspense dramas. El Capo 4 returns, showing the titular character battling an international enemy, the ruthless Medusa, as he seeks to avenge his grandson’s murder and overcome the disintegration of his family. The science fiction thriller Futuro Desierto explores the societal impact of technology as psychiatrist Alex and his family are sent to a remote town to test androids in human cohabitation, unaware they are part of a dark corporate plot that explores human mortality.
TIS Studios is also presenting a unique blend of historical and literary adaptations. Cosiaca revives the legend of a mysterious 19th-century wanderer from Antioquia, a man without roots or a job who lived solely by his irresistible storytelling and humor. The series Socorro is an adrenaline-filled anthology inspired by the literature of Elsa Bornemann, featuring groups of children confronting the unknown in every episode, from urban ghosts and forest creatures to disquieting androids and haunted artwork.
The slate includes several dramas focused on powerful second chances and hidden lives. Cecilia 1 and Cecilia 2 chronicle the life of a woman whose entire family is trapped in a cycle of dependence revolving around her. When a stroke occurs, the tragedy unexpectedly becomes an opportunity for her to reinvent herself and transform the lives of everyone around her, including her daughters and ex-husband. The second season follows the family as they must start over after a devastating fire, ultimately learning self-reliance and uniting to reopen the family bakery as a true team. Amor es Amor is a drama focused on Enrique, Mexico’s most famous telenovela heartthrob, who is secretly gay. When his secret is discovered, he is forced to feign a romance with a decaying pop star, Sofía. After an accident causes Enrique to lose his memory, Sofía uses the opportunity to make him believe they are a real couple.
Finally, the catalog includes Autogol, a unique sports drama where the commentator Pepe Calderón embarks on a revenge mission after losing his voice on air following Andrés Escobar’s infamous own goal during the 1994 FIFA World Cup.
