TV Monaco: lifestyle, innovation, health and culture of the Principality

With the presence of H.S.H. Prince Albert II from Monaco, this past September, Monaco TV, the first general-interest public live channel, was officially launched. The historic launch for the Principality channel also had the presence of H.S.H. Princess Charlene.

Nathalie Biancolli, CEO

The program for the first evening included a prime-time opening on the television news, followed by a never-before-seen documentary devoted to the Ganges dolphin.

With a strong editorial line, whish intends to establish a multicultural positioning specific to life in the Principality and appeal to the more than 130 nationalities currently living in Monaco. The content strategy is based on four main pillars: the environment, news, sport, and the art of living on the Grande Riviera. The programming will be available to its viewers 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, both in-store and on its digital platform, www.tvmonaco.com.

The channel has three main programs: the morning show Ça va l’faire with Sébastien Serrano covering the Principality’s lifestyle, innovation, health, and culture; in the evenings, the show L’Actu with Ambre Gstalder, which will cover all Monaguesque’s news followed by in-depth analysis of local and international news; and the weekend sports show Ça Match with Pierre Classen. TV Monaco‘s production teams produce 150 hours of original content, including music screens, never-before-seen high-definition documentaries, magazines, and even a reality show devoted to underwater life. The content is available in long or short formats, aimed at all generations.

In addition to the main produced content, TV Monaco also has over 1,800 hours of acquired IP to broadcast from a 300m2 eco-friendly rebuilt-for-purpose offices and studio in the center of town in Monaco. It is financed by the Monaguesque State and is directed by Nathalie Biancolli. ‘Our mission is to create a new television model that raises the profile of the Riviera around the world’, concluded.

TV Monaco content will be available to Monegasques via their traditional broadcast network and will soon be available internationally via satellite, cable operators, and the channel’s app thanks to its membership in the TV5MONDE network. Live streaming is now available at www.tvmonaco.com. All programs will also be available for replay on the digital platform, while certain content – VOD and exclusive bonus features – will be hosted exclusively on the platform.
