With nearly 200 buyers from 40 countries confirmed (including many European territories, as well as the United States, South Korea, India, etc.), Unifrance is hosting the 30th edition of Rendez-vous, this time in the city of Le Havre, France, from September 2 to 6. This will be the first time the event is held in the Normandy city. This anniversary edition will also welcome approximately 60 French sellers to the largest market in the world dedicated to audiovisual programs in the country.
Fiction, animation, documentaries, live shows, and entertainment titles will be among the more than 1,000 programs presented at the market and will also be available in the «Unifrance Screening Room» (accessible on-site in the video library or online).
Two of the main events of Les Rendez-vous d’Unifrance au Havre will be the opening on Monday, September 2, at the Oscar Niemeyer Library, and on Wednesday, September 4, where participants will also be invited to an evening at the former Franciscan convent in Deauville.
The event will open the market floor on Tuesday, September 3, at the Carré des Docks. There, international buyers will have access to a rich offering of French programs.
Several productions that will soon be released on screen will be presented to accredited guests during lunches, dinners, and screenings—a formula that has proven successful in terms of sales. Among them, the miniseries Ça, c’est Paris (created by Marc Fitoussi, Edgar F. Grima, and Jérôme Bruno, produced by Mon Voisin Productions and Federation Studios, which is also in charge of sales) will be the star of the gala evening, with an exclusive screening of the first episode in the presence of the artistic team.
Accredited attendees will also have the opportunity to discover the fiction series Zorro (created by Benjamin Charbit and Noé Debré, sold by France tv distribution), Tom & Lola (created by Camille Couasse and Sarah Farkas, sold by Mediawan Rights), and L’Éclipse (created by Hélène Duchateau, Cécile Lorne, and Baptiste Filleul, sold by About Premium Content), as well as the animated documentary series L’armée des romantiques (created by Amélie Harrault and Dan Franck, sold by Arte Distribution).
Finally, as every year, on September 3, the 2023 figures for the export of French audiovisual programs will be announced (in collaboration with the CNC).
