Unifrance Rendez-Vous 2025 commences with opening ceremony in Le Havre

The 31st edition of the Unifrance Rendez-Vous officially opened yesterday, September 1, with an evening ceremony at the MuMa – Musée d’Art Moderne André Malraux. The event welcomes leading industry professionals and international buyers for a week of screenings, networking, and business development.

The opening reception was attended by key figures including Édouard Philippe, Mayor of Le Havre, and Gilles Pélisson, President of Unifrance.

In his address, Mayor Édouard Philippe highlighted the significance of the MuMa, which stands as the first major museum built in France after World War II. The museum, a notable example of modernist architecture, is home to one of France’s largest collections of Impressionist art, featuring works by masters such as Monet and Gauguin. Philippe described the museum as both a symbol of Le Havre’s resilience and a beacon of cultural excellence.

Pélisson extended a welcome to the global industry professionals in attendance. ‘The Rendez-Vous is a vital meeting point for the international television and film industries’, he stated, noting that Unifrance‘s global presence extends far beyond Le Havre to major festivals, including the Venice Film Festival.

The mayor also expressed hope that the event would be both fruitful for business and inspiring for all participants.
