Unifrance celebrates a new edition of Rendez-vous in Biarritz where is delighted to meet French sellers and buyers from all over the world. The event has been positioned as one of the largest markets in the world dedicated to French audiovisual programs, held on the Basque coast from September 3 to 7. 2023.
As every year, the opening night of Les Rendez-vous, which will take place on Sunday, September 3, will be held at the Halles de Biarritz. The market and the video library will open their doors to participants from Monday, September 4 inside the Bellevue.
International buyers will be able to discover a rich offer of French programs thanks to an optimized viewing tool which now offers members more possibilities for editorializing and highlighting their programs, as well as an improved user experience for buyers.
In addition, as part of its reinforced international promotion strategy, Unifrance encourages artists to actively participate in international markets and festivals, particularly on the audiovisual side. They will thus be welcomed again in 2023, during the high points of the market, in order to encourage privileged exchanges with foreign professionals.
After a first gala evening organized in 2022, which allowed accredited members to discover Diane de Poitiers by Josée Dayan, in the presence of the artistic team of the mini-series, this year it will be Noé Debré (screenwriter, director) and Xavier Lacaille (actor) who will come to present exclusively the first two episodes of season 3 of the series Parliament, distributed by France tv distribution and produced by Cinétévé, at Le Royal cinema in Biarritz.
The artistic teams of several French productions expected on the screens soon will also follow one another on the occasion of convivial lunches and dinners organized at the Municipal Casino of Biarritz.
Accredited persons will thus be able to discover:
- The fiction series All this I’ll give it to you, adapted from Dolores Redondo‘s novel “Todo esto te dare” (in the presence of the author) and offered by Film & Picture.
- The documentary series Lagerfeld: Ambitions produced by Guillaume Perez and Anne-Solen Douguet on the secrets of this fashion genius, offered by STUDIOCANAL.
- A collection of youth entertainment programs around the theme of sport: Athleticus, Karate Mouton and Zig and Sharko, offered by Xilam Animation.
- The single documentary Matrix: Generation, directed by Benjamin Clavel, which revisits the cult saga in a new way, offered by The Party Film Sales.
The Rendez-vous will once again host, on Monday, September 4, 2023, the announcement of the figures for French audiovisual export (2022 figures) in partnership with the CNC, from the Vagues du Bellevue rooms.
