For the second consecutive year, a VIS production reaches the final round of the fifth edition of the Berlin Series Festival: Parot, hit series produced by along with RTVE and Onza, has been selected as a finalist in the “Drama Series” category. The series is also being promoted at VS Worldwide 2021 along with a selected line up of scripted and unscripted shows.
Parot, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video Spain and in exclusively on Paramount+ Latin America, will soon premiere on TVE. ‘We are proud to once again be finalists of this prestigious international festival that is characterized by awarding the best content and creators from around the world. Parot is a 10-episode sociopolitical thriller based on the controversial annulment of the Parot doctrine by the Strasbourg Court in 2013 which, limited or reduced prisoners’ sentences for work and studies and released almost a hundred terrorists, rapists, and multiple killers. Many of those released were later found murdered in the same way as their own victims.
Other top series that are being promoted at VSWW are the dramedies Victoria Small (52x’60), from VIS and The Mediapro Studio, and Mexican R (10x’60), from VIS and Claro Video. Two unscripted formats complete the offering: PH, timeslot leader in Argentinean HHs (Telefe) for 2018, 2019 and 2020, and Real Dream (4x’50), a mini docu series about the conquest of an impossible challenge.
