Dynowish, an animated series adapted from the successful book series by Paola Myriam Visconti, has its dedicated showcase at MIPJUNIOR and MIPCOM 2024 this week. Published by Giunti Editore in both English and Italian, the “Dynowish” books have resonated with audiences in Italy and the Middle East. Now, Visconti is ready to bring her imaginative universe to a global audience.
Developed in collaboration with TwelveP, an Abu Dhabi-based company with expertise in managing children’s IP, Dynowish will soon become an animated series. The story follows siblings Ginny and Leo as they combat the evil wizard Azimur, who aims to steal the energy of dreams and turn them into nightmares. Their ally, Dynowish, the legendary protector of dreams, helps them restore hope in this fantastical world.
Josh Selig, an Emmy Award-winning creator known for shows like The Wonder Pets!, is overseeing the series’ creative direction. Renowned Italian writer Francesco Artibani, known for his work on Winx Club and W.I.T.C.H., will pen the pilot episode. Luigi Aimè, with his experience at Disney and Pixar, leads the design for the show.
The Dynowish franchise aims to expand beyond the screen, with plans for toys, educational content, and interactive gaming, offering children multiple ways to engage with the story. Visconti expressed her excitement at the opportunity to bring her message of hope and perseverance to children worldwide through this project.
