The service, which will replace HBO Max, will launch in the US on May 23, the last quarter in LatAm, and in Europe in 2024. The platform announced more than 40 new content, including the TV adaptation of the Harry Potter franchise and the Game of Thrones prequel, among others.
MAX will include original content from HBO, Warner Bros. movies, Max Originals, the DC Universe titles, the Harry Potter franchise, and a wide range of children’s content; as well as programming on gastronomy, home, reality shows, lifestyle and documentaries from brands associated with Discovery Communication: HGTV, Food Network, Discovery Channel, TLC, ID and many others.
The presentation of the platform was made by JB Perrette, President & CEO, Global Streaming & Games, Warner Bros. Discovery, and included a preview of the launch campaign of the service, which begins tomorrow and celebrates the different moods, fans and genres that represent their viewers.
US introductory prices include one online tier (Max Ad Lite) at $9.99 (€9.09)/month or $99.99/year; an ad-free tier at $15.99/month or $149.99/year and an ad-free tier at $19.99/month or $199.99/year that allows for four simultaneous streams, up to 4K UHD resolution, 100 offline downloads, and Dolby Atmos sound quality.
