ZEE stands out in MIPLondon 2025 with its localized dramas
With different worldwide business units, ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Limited is present at MIP London 2025 to highlight its catalog of local dramas that fit perfectly with the storytelling needs of the global market.
Having recently finished filming its first coproduction in Latin America, Valentina, My Special Love, in association with VIP 2000 TV, ZEE is now also actively exploring coproduction opportunities with Latin American and European companies.
Topping the list of titles, ZEE brings the series Valentina, My Special Love.
Valentina, My Special Love, is a tale of passion, ambition, and self-discovery filmed on location in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The series follows Valentina Kumar, a brilliant young woman on the autism spectrum, stands out at the prestigious tech company, Eureka, for her genius in math and technology, but struggles with social interactions. She meets Santiago Altamirano, the company heir, and their evolving romance faces opposition from his fiancée and his controlling mother.
Valentina’s journey of resilience shows that love is about understanding and acceptance, as she proves that embracing one’s uniqueness can overcome any obstacle.
SER – The Secret, already fully dubbed in neutral Spanish, has had great success throughout the Middle East and will have a spectacular performance in Latin America and Europe.
The story chronicles the journey of shrewd detective Jab Harb and his world of opposite emotions as he falls in love with Taleen while investigating the most complex case of his career: the disappearance of Amer Zahran, Taleen’s husband, a businessman in the face of the world, a mafia tyrant to those closest to him.
The series is available entirely in Spanish, with 60 45-minute episodes per season. The company said the drama will ‘keep everyone guessing until the last episode who did it while they wait for the underlying love story to materialize’.
On the other hand, Carmen, a romantic comedy in which a beautiful young woman arrives from Alexandria to Cairo in search of opportunities to achieve her dreams of being rich and famous. While applying for a new job, Carmen lies a bit to win the job by claiming to be married, but soon the move is ruined when she falls in love with the owner’s son. In short, she finds herself needingto create another thousand lies to cover up the first one. Her «inventions» cause many sarcastic and comical incidents. The series is a ZEE production of 60 episodes of 45 minutes each.
