STUDIOCANAL: «The Adventures of Paddington» has been confirmed for a 3rd season

STUDIOCANAL has renewed a global deal with Nickelodeon who will board Season 3 of hit CG-animated series The Adventures of Paddington. The show is based on the acclaimed film, directed by Paul King and produced by Heyday Films

The Adventures of Paddington is a Heyday Films and STUDIOCANAL production in association with Copyrights. The series is directed by Blue Zoo Animation Studio’s (Go Jetters, Digby Dragon, Miffy, Q Pootle 5) Adam Shaw and Chris Drew. The series is developed for television and written by Jon Foster and James Lamont (The Amazing World of Gumball, Cuckoo, Paddington 1, 2 & 3), who also serve as executive producers.   

Today’s news follows the huge global success of the first two seasons through an international roll-out overseen by Nickelodeon who broadcasting the beloved and two-time Daytime Emmy® Award-winning animated series in the US and internationally.  

Following Nickelodeon’s worldwide release, STUDIOCANAL announced additional sales of Season 1 to major streaming services NETFLIX UKHBO MAX across Europe and Viaplay Group in the Nordic region as the hit franchise series continues its incredible run.  

The Adventures of Paddington Season 1 has also been acquired by a raft of new public broadcasters across Europe, including Česká Televize Czech Republic, MTVA Hungary, LTV Latvia, LRT Lithuania, TVP ABC Poland, RTVS Slovakia and DR Denmark.  Further significant partners around the world, such as HKTVE Hong Kong, ABC Australia, TVNZ (New Zealand), MBC’s Shahid (MENA) and both CBC and Radio-Canada across English and French-speaking Canada respectively, have also acquired the first available season.

The Adventures of Paddington centres on a younger Paddington as he writes letters to Aunt Lucy celebrating the new things he has discovered through the day’s adventures in London. Golden Globe, BAFTA and International Emmy Award®-winning actor Ben Whishaw (Paddington 1,2 & 3) voices the role of the title character.  

Executive produced by multi-award-winning The Adventures of Paddington (producer of all eight of the Harry Potter films, Paddington 1, 2 & 3) and Rosie Alison (Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, Paddington 1, 2. & 3), The Adventures of Paddington is produced by Karen Davidsen (formerly with Disney and HIT Entertainment) and Simon Quinn (Isle of Dogs, Fantastic Mr. Fox), and co-executive produced by Rob Silva.    

STUDIOCANAL is the worldwide rights holder for the series. 

The series is a Marmalade Films and Mascaret Films co-production with the participation of NICKELODEON, M6 and PIWI+.
