Presenting its new season titles, Inter Medya returns to ATF where the company highlights its international billboard. Among its most notable titles: Another Chance, The Girl of The Green Valley and the drama Aziz, which was nominated on the last edition at Seoul International Award 2022.
In an interview with Prensario, Can Okan, president and CEO, commented about the current moment of the company and how they growing and renewing itself: ‘In parallel with the growth of our industry, we are expanding our business to keep up with global trends and developments. Both our sales volume, the country/issuer we reach and our library are expanding.’
The executive highlighted that its internal team is also growing and they are currently exporting content to more than 150 countries, with a very extensive catalogue, not only TV series but also feature films and reality / game show formats. ‘We have a library consisting of more than 20,000 hours that can meet the huge international demand for Turkish content. We constantly license our titles to both major channels and digital platforms that are broadcast locally and internationally. At the same time, we are working very hard for co-productions that will take place on a global scale’, he added.
As for the market, the company is promoting Another Chance, one of its latest acquisitions. The series is a BKM drama that is currently in production. The story follows a murderer who seeks redemption and begins a new life as a geography teacher and will try to put his past in order as the lives he touched emerge.
Also, released last year, and after arousing great demand in Turkey, Aziz is another of the strong dramas that the company presents in the market. The series, produced by O3 Medya, takes place in the turbulent days of the 1930s, in the far south of Turkey, in historic Antakya.
Lastly, Inter Medya highlights one of its novelties, The Girl of the green valley, a title that continues to generate expectation among buyers. The series, produced by Yesil Yapim, is inspired by the popular book «Ann of Green Gables», written in 1908 by Canadian Lucy Maud Montgomery.
