Red Arrow Studios International heads into Miptv 2023 with a varied slate of new titles from award-winning creators across fiction-based, factual and format-based entertainment programming.
Headlining the company’s scripted offering is The Gone (6 x 60′), a gripping new mystery crime drama produced by Kingfisher Films & Keeper Pictures, in association with Southern Light Films for TVNZ (New Zealand) and RTE (Ireland). In this contemporary detective drama, Theo Richter, a Dublin-based Irish Special Branch detective, heads to New Zealand to help search for two young Irish tourists who have disappeared without trace.
Other fictional highlights include the premium drama Plan B (6 x 45′) starring Patrick J Adams and Karine Vanasse, and the teen comedy-drama Intimate (8 x 30′). Produced by KOTV for CBC (Canada), Plan B is a high-concept psychological drama about a man on a desperate and relentless quest to save his relationship, using time travel; while the new comedy-drama Intimate (8 x 30′), produced by Pajama Pictures and Kleine Brüder for Joyn (Germany), is a bold new improv series from the creators and stars of Die Discounter. It shows audiences what happens when the cameras are (usually) off in the chaotic lives of these 20-something stars.
On the formats side is Stranded on Honeymoon Island, the bold new dating adventure show where couples get stranded on a deserted island and left alone for three weeks. From Snowman Productions, the makers of Married at First Sight, the format is originally produced by PIT for VTM2 in Belgium.
Also available on Miptv is the daring new Don’t Panic format, which teaches us how to worry less and prepare more for those existential threats, all delivered in an informative, entertaining and slightly comical way. The format is originally produced by Nawi Pro for KAN11 (Israel).
Other new additions to the Red Arrow roster include the new primetime dating show Rate My Date; the Celebrity Career Challenge primetime challenge format, which sends celebrities from around the world to consider a career change; and the wildly funny The Unbeatables, which pits celebrities against non-celebrities to see just how unbeatable they really are. Both are originally produced by Redseven Entertainment for ProSieben (Germany).
Entertainment highlights include new seasons of Married at First Sight US (23 x 120′ + 3 specials) and Australia (36 x 90′), produced by Kinetic Content for Lifetime (US) and Endemol Shine Australia for the Nine Network respectively. .
