MIP Cancun 11th edition, scheduled for November 20-22, 2024, at the Moon Palace Cancun hotel and resort, is very near. This edition will feature extended Co-Production and FAST strands as a main event, enhancing its reputation as a premier international content market and co-production forum for Latin America and US Hispanic television.
The previous edition in 2023 attracted over 800 industry professionals from 43 countries, highlighting its significance as a networking and deal-making platform. The 2024 event will include a full pre-opening day dedicated to the FAST & AVOD: Americas Summit, which will focus on monetization strategies and opportunities within the advertising-led streaming sector.
New initiatives for this year include an invitation-only Co-Production Summit and a Co-Production Bootcamp, which will offer workshops covering essential topics like legal, financial, and technological considerations for producers and commissioners. MIP Cancun aims to provide comprehensive support for content discovery and deal-making through its array of pre-scheduled meetings, screenings, and networking opportunities.
MIP Cancun’s Director, Maria Perez-Bellière, stated, ‘Our second decade of MIP Cancun will be built on the same principles as our first… delivering value, insight and opportunities’.
Additionally, Paulo Koelle, Director of Prime Video Latin America, will deliver a keynote presentation on November 21 and receive the Premio Ícono TV Latina in recognition of his contributions to the media industry in the region. This session will explore Prime Video’s strategy and plans for Latin America, further contributing to the event’s focus on the evolving media landscape.
