Globo is participating at NEM Dubrovnik and NATPE Budapest, the two audiovisual industry events in Eastern Europe this month. The company is showing an updated portfolio that includes its latest releases, classic telenovelas, Globoplay Original series, and both scripted and unscripted formats, aiming to reinforce its expansion strategy in the region.

Among the new offerings Globo is highlighting at these markets are the telenovelas Crazy About You and She’s The One, along with the new season of the action series Anti-Kidnapping Unit. At NEM Dubrovnik on June 9, at 5:55 PM, Rodrigo Nascimento, Globo’s Head of International Sales – EMEA, is scheduled to present the panel “Globo: 100 Years of Stories”. This session will celebrate the group’s centennial and will cover Globo’s key new releases, its activities in Eastern Europe, and strategic partnership opportunities within the region.
At NATPE Budapest, the international launch of “Raul Seixas: Let Me Sing” is a particular focus. This Globoplay Original series explores the cultural, political, and spiritual influences of the Brazilian singer-songwriter. The series previously marked a milestone as the first Brazilian production selected for the International Panorama Competition at Series Mania in March of this year.
The telenovela Crazy About You, recently aired during prime time in Brazil, is a creation by João Emanuel Carneiro. The story centers on the friendship between Viola and Luma, two women whose lives intertwine years after their shared birthday. She’s The One, by Alessandra Poggi, is set in the 1950s and follows Beatriz’s journey of self-discovery as she reconnects with her mother. The new season of Anti-Kidnapping Unit, created by José Junior and José Luiz Magalhães, and directed by Lipe Binder, features suspenseful episodes set in late 1990s Rio de Janeiro, following Detective Carlos Mendonça and Inspector Juliano Santiago on a challenging case within the Anti-Kidnapping Division.
In addition to these recent productions, Globo’s portfolio for both NEM Dubrovnik and NATPE Budapest includes classic telenovelas such as Brazil Avenue, Her Own Destiny, and Total Dreamer, alongside successful drama formats like Justice, All The Flowers, and Trail of Lies.
Nascimento, Head of International Sales – EMEA at Globo, commented on the company’s regional focus. ‘Eastern Europe is a strategic region for Globo, where interest in our content has been growing, which reinforces the reach of our stories’. Nascimento stated. He also added, ‘For NEM Dubrovnik and NATPE Budapest, we’ve prepared a portfolio that reflects the strength of our productions, with acclaimed titles recognized in the international market, as well as new releases’.
