CBeebies, the U.K. children’s channel, announced a new selection of animated programs from BBC Children’s and Education, reinforcing its commitment to high-quality content amidst global investment challenges. Patricia Hidalgo, Director of BBC Children’s and Education, stated, “In a time when global investment in children’s content is declining, we are committed more than ever to continue delivering high-quality content that sparks imagination, supports learning, and reflects the lives of children.”

The new slate includes several original and returning series:
The preschool animated series MaeBee (52 x 7 minutes) is set to premiere in spring/summer 2026. Created by Karrot Entertainment, the show follows the adventures of Mae, a determined young gnome, and her quirky foster twin, Bee, who may or may not be aware he is actually a bee. The narrative focuses on tales of community, nature, and self-growth.
The UnderGlow (50 x 7 minutes) will premiere in the fall of 2027 and is produced in partnership with Gigglebug, YLE, and A Productions. Created by Tanya Scott and Sam Morrison, the series celebrates creativity and imagination in a whimsical woodland world. Led by the inquisitive Riley and her best friend Brewster, the diverse group of characters—including a talking potato and a floating fish—explore and invent in an oddball setting.
The animated series Luna in Dreamland (26 x 7′ episodes), produced by Flickerpix and Copa Studios, will launch on BBC iPlayer in 2027. The show features a girl spirit who enters children’s dreams to help them overcome anxieties and talk about their fears. The series is produced in both English and Gaeilge.
Among the returning and upcoming franchises is Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super, slated for October 2025. Created by Outfit 7, this new show finds Tom and his friends with brand-new superpowers and a mission to save the day, discovering that being super requires perseverance. Additionally, the second season of Mojo SwopTops returns with 52 new episodes, airing in October/November 2026. Based on the Ladybird book series, the show features Mojo, who can transform into any vehicle needed for a job, while Bo provides the tools and creativity to tackle everyday mishaps.
