Global Agency’ «Dynasty of Love» press conference highlighted silent power and the importance of craft

The Turkish drama Dynasty of Love is preparing for its international launch, with series leads Akın Akınözü and Serra Arıtürk emphasizing the universal emotional core that drives the family saga. The series, which premiered in September and airs on Show TV, blends passion, betrayal, and revenge, centering on a powerful tycoon who replaces his true heirs with an impostor son.

The two stars discussed how the characters’ intense conflicts resonate with global audiences. Arıtürk stated that regardless of cultural background, ‘we feel all the same emotions. Like, we’re all the same, fundamentally. But the way we choose our ways to handle things and cope with things is what differs us from each other’. She concluded that the problems and difficulties faced in the series ‘are universal’, allowing every audience to connect.

Arıtürk specifically highlighted her appreciation for her character’s quiet strength. «The most important thing that I love about her is that she is very silently powerful,» she said, noting that this quality comes from «a great wisdom that she has inside, which doesn’t really come from age or experience».

Akınözü focused on the series’ exploration of power and human nature, referencing a quote from Abraham Lincoln. He added that the character’s focus on craft and physical creation provides a grounding element amidst the drama of digital life. «We get so lost in digital media, social media, and we forget about the craft. But we are human beings. We need to touch. And we’ve got to do something with our hands,» Akınözü explained.

Dynasty of Love is produced by FARO, a new production company co-founded by Yamaç Okur, known for global hits like The Pit. The series is distributed exclusively by Global Agency. The narrative follows the impostor’s move into the family mansion and his immediate, passionate romance with the wife of the real son. The producers compare the multi-layered storytelling to Succession, combined with the emotional intensity of The Pit. The series features a strong ensemble cast, including Ercan Kesal, Erkan Kolçak Köstendil, and Hazal Türesan.
