Globo (Brazil) reinforces its presence as content producer for the most varied audiences and platforms during the 2021 edition of LA Virtual Screenings. At the tradeshow, the distributor presents three new releases to the international market: the telenovela Once We Were Six, the Globoplay Original series Where My Heart is and the second season of the police suspense thriller Anti-Kidnapping Unit, another Globoplay Original production.

Once We Were Six is a classic family drama in 50 episodes, will be presented on May 11thin the event’s platform. During “Once We Were Six – Exclusive Launch Showcase”, Globo will bring details of the story about the saga of Lemos family from a matriarch who fights to keep the unity and harmony among her children and husband, despite of all obstacles in life.
Where My Heart is a family drama that brings the story of Amanda (Leticia Colin), a young successful and idealistic doctor, who comes from a high-class family, that gets caught up with the pleasure of drugs, and is no longer able to manage her professional and affective life. The plot brings the fragility of the family structure, until then unquestionable, where everyone must face their personal dramas and end up getting involved with the situation.
Also, the second series of Globoplay Original Anti-Kidnapping Unit comes full of adrenaline. The police thriller takes place at the end of the 1990’s, when a dubious fame group is formed to fight a wave of kidnappers in Rio de Janeiro and to save the city from bandits and corrupt policemen. In the new season, new characters will spice up the story – one of them is Lavína (Branca Messina), a policewoman devoted to her work, who does no measure efforts to discover the truth in her investigations, although she may pay a high cost for her courage and determination.
