
Past October, Warner Bros. Discovery launched its streaming service, HBO Max, in 15 new markets in Asia, including Bangladesh, Cambodia, Macau, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Ukraine. Subscribers in these territories now have access to content from brands including HBO, Max Originals, the DC Universe, Warner Bros., and Discovery.
The service offers immediate access to series such as Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon, The Last of Us, and The Penguin, alongside films like Superman and A Minecraft Movie. The complete Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings movie collections are also included. Content from Discovery, including Deadliest Catch, and children’s titles like Tom and Jerry and Looney Tunes are available. Library titles Friends and The Big Bang Theory are scheduled to join the service in January 2026.
The current new series include the HBO drama IT: Welcome to Derry, developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, which was launched on October 26. Future movie premieres slated for the service include M3GAN 2.0, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, How To Train Your Dragon, and Weapons.
The HBO Max service provides streaming on multiple devices, including LG and Samsung in select markets. Technical features include the ability to create up to five user profiles, personalized recommendations, a search function, a «Continue Watching» feature, and offline downloads. The service also offers kids’ profiles with age-appropriate content curation and optional parental controls.
