ORF-Enterprise enters the European Spring 2026 season with a renewed creative drive, reinforcing its reputation for premium factual content while pushing decisively into new scripted territory. According to Armin Luttenberger, Head of Content Sales International, the company is embracing change as global market dynamics continue to evolve, adapting both its distribution strategy and content portfolio to meet new demands.
At the core of ORF-Enterprise’s slate remain its flagship brands Universum Nature and Universum History, internationally recognized for high-end documentaries that explore nature, science and history with cinematic ambition. Titles such as Superfish – Wild Salmon, Austria’s Greatest Mountain – The Grossglockner and The Red Sea – Evolution’s Magic Garden underscore the label’s commitment to visually striking storytelling with strong global appeal.
On the scripted side, ORF Originals return with fresh seasons of proven hits including School of Champions, Soko Linz, Glambitious and Days That Never Were. A notable transition is also underway in the iconic Tatort Vienna, as the long-standing detective duo concludes its run, opening the door to a new investigative partnership later this year.

A key highlight of the upcoming slate is JONES, a six-part crime mini-series co-produced with Caracol Studios and RTP. Inspired by Agatha Christie, the series marks a strategic step beyond the German-speaking market, reflecting ORF-Enterprise’s ambition to diversify its drama offerings with international perspectives.
As the company moves into 2026, ORF-Enterprise is preparing to engage closely with international buyers across key industry events, using these platforms to showcase a slate that combines long-established documentary excellence with a growing ambition in scripted storytelling. The strategy reflects a broader focus on flexibility, international collaboration and sustainable growth in an increasingly competitive global market.
