Audiovisual from Spain presented six-title slate at Series Mania Forum 2026

The Spanish delegation, supported by ICEX under the Audiovisual from Spain banner, presented the «Coming Next From Spain» showcase at the Series Mania Forum in Lille. Hosted by journalist Irene Jimenez, the session introduced a slate of six scripted projects to the international market.

Two of the presented series are set in Barcelona. «Ravalear,» a six-episode drama produced by Filmax for HBO, draws from true events to examine the social aspects of the Raval district, including gentrification. The series is created by Pol Rodrigues and directed by Isaki Lacuesta. «Day One,» a six-episode co-production by Zebra Producciones for iZen and Prime Video, sets its narrative within the technology sector during the Mobile World Congress.

The presentation included «The Daughters of the Maid,» a melodrama adapted from a novel. Rebeca Fernández, Sales Director for Europe at Atresmedia, stated the series is scheduled for prime time broadcast on Antena 3 as part of a strategy focused on intellectual property. Movistar Plus+ presented «Por cien millones,» a drama recounting the kidnapping of Spanish footballer Quini. Rebeca Aguilar, Head of International Distribution at Movistar Plus+, noted the production focuses on the relationship that developed between the victim and the kidnappers over 25 days, rather than the procedural elements of the crime.

The showcase concluded with two additional titles. Mediaset España introduced «Pura Sangre,» a mystery series centered on legacy within aristocratic circles. Filmin and RTP presented «Millennial Mal,» a comedy targeting a youth demographic.
