Digitoonz Spain, the Spanish subsidiary of the India-based animation studio, has signed a strategic agreement with La Pandilla de Drilo, the company behind the children’s brand led by composer Andrés Meseguer, and production company Maskeline. The partnership focuses on the co-development and global expansion of the La pandilla de Drilo intellectual property, aiming to build its narrative universe and scale it as a multi-format brand in the international market.
Originally created as a musical project blending original songs, dance, and theater, La pandilla de Drilo has operated within the Spanish family entertainment sector for over 15 years. As part of this new internationalization strategy, the partners will develop a 3D animated series consisting of 26 seven-minute episodes targeting a preschool audience. The audiovisual adaptation is designed to expand the property’s reach while incorporating themes such as creativity, cooperation, and environmental respect.
Maria Bonaria Fois, President of Digitoonz Spain, stated that the project is backed by Maskeline and the creative team led by Meseguer, alongside collaborators Carmen García and Jesús Mondéjar, ensuring a production with both domestic and international projection. Vikas Kumar, CEO and founder of Digitoonz Media Entertainment, noted that the brand maintains a solid track record and a clear connection with its audience, providing the necessary foundation to scale globally as a long-term intellectual property.
Andrés Meseguer, author and composer of the brand, described the collaboration as the culmination of 20 years of development, marking a new phase to project the IP internationally while maintaining its educational focus. Fina Martínez, founding partner and producer at Maskeline, added that the brand possesses clear international projection and expressed readiness to begin this new phase of development alongside Digitoonz and the original creators.
