Industry testimonials day 5: pubcasters and new models

Pubcasters and new models were reflected on a new series of “Industry Testimonials” featured at VS WorldwideVS Next: ABC Commercial (Australia), IN10 Media Network (India) and ORF (Austria) showed the most recent trends in their business segments.

Kristy Diverhall, acquisitions manager at ABC Commercial, underlined: ‘Today we acquire content in all genres such as children, comedies, and factual with high production values. One of our current focuses; but they are the contents for the children’s segment, where we are looking for titles in different animation techniques, as well as significant factual’.

Mansi Darbar, Network VP – strategy & development at IN10 Media Network (India), analyzed the present moment of the Indian market: ‘Glocal businesses are becoming more and more common among players in India. Doing local business, with global perspectives, such as alliances, collaborations, co-productions, etc. Another trend that is growing in India is the diversification of media companies, which accelerated their step to digitization, and no longer only think about content for traditional TV, but also for online players’.

Lastly, Caroline Haidache, head of ORF Universum History (Austria), specified that educational content took on more value than ever: ‘Pandemic increased the consumption of factual and educational content, that is why the demand today is greater than a few years ago. We have detected great interest in innovative science topics, new historical discoveries and interest in political-historical content’, she indicated.
