K7 Media inaugurated the first trend panel at LA Virtual Screenings, offering key insights of the entertainment market with Trang Nguyen, Asia Pacific Researchers, and Ella Turner, client manager. The executives offered a brief overview of the top contents of 2021:factual and documentaries will continue to be relevant and will gain more demand on digital platforms.

Guessing Game Shows are dominating the screens during this year, according to the analysts. ‘The quarantine and time at home, during the Covid-19 restrictions, has made these shows take precedence in family living rooms’,said Turner, and exemplified with Thailand’sWorkpint TVWall Duet or Who is My Chef?As well as Spain’s Cuatroshow distributed by Fremantle, Game of Talent.

Another current trend is helpful&support shows, which offer real cases of transformation, motivation and help to people in areas such as housing or clothing. Shows such as Home Made Home by VTM (Belgium), distributed by Be-Entertainment; or Sort Your Life Out, are good examples.
