The first line up of four executives participating at the “Testimonials of the Industry” section at VS Next showed different opinions about the current industry situation and landscape from Constantin Film Producktion (Germany), Kanal 7 (Turkey), BKS (USA) and GoQuest (India).

Ruediger Boess, producer at Constantin Film Producktion, reported that the company is already with several projects in development, after the reestablishment of activities: ‘We are working on several projects in our TV content division, while in the cinema area, we are developing several projects’. He specified that one of the challenges will be to return to the commercialization of films, for which he assured that he looks forward to returning to the festivals.
Yesim Sezdirmez, deputy general manager at Kanal 7 (Turkey), commented that the content market in Turkey is one of the most competitive, so she assured that the objective is to be ‘innovative’ in order to capitalize the audience: ‘VOD platforms are growing and broadcasters have to be innovative in our content to remain relevant’, she underlined.
Jake Neto, VP programming and acquisitions at BKS (USA), commented that, after working as a representative of broadcasters and platforms, the company decided to launch their own OTT in for the Brazilian market, so they are currently looking for content to feed the OTT: ‘We are open to any new producer or creator who wants to export their content with us’.

Akshit Sandhu, content acquisition, GoQuest Media (India), seen a growth in demand for family and comedy content: ‘Our latest titles, coming from Estonia and Latvia, encompass these genres that so many are demanding on global screens’, he remarked.
