Being one of the key events in The Kitchen’s business agenda, at MIPTV the company will attend with delegates from all its studios around the globe.
‘We have been fans of these markets for 22 years. We will catch up with our international clients, of course, as we have already scheduled meetings with colleagues from Korea; Slovenia; Turkey; LATAM; England; Japan; Spain; Germany; Africa; Italy; France; Israel; Porcelain; Romania and more’, told Deeny Kaplan, EVP to Prensario.
The executive announced that most of the CEOs of her studios around the world will attend MIPTV Cannes next April. ‘This is extremely important to us as a global company. This is a stellar opportunity to work together: whether it’s meeting collectively with clients; attending demonstrations of new technologies; or getting to know each other better, while further cementing our sister studio relationships’, she added.
The company is keenly aware of the special interests of its international studios. For example, they’ve been working closely with Gunay Goksel, the studio’s managing director in Turkey, to help him in his efforts to provide assistance through a special grant presented by The Kitchen International. ‘The money we collect will go directly to students who want to enter our industry: those who are studying languages, localization and translation. We are delighted that the industry is joining us in this great effort’, said the executive.
As for The Kitchen Russia, the unit remains in operation, however many members of the team have temporarily relocated. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian operations of many of The Kitchen’s clients have moved to Israel, Poland and Hungary, and the company’s global studios have been supporting them in any way they can.
‘Our European studios are busy and growing, and at MIPTV we will introduce our new European hub based in Madrid’, Kaplan said. This new unit will receive content from clients directly and provide frame rate conversion; editing of specifications; graphic recreation; creation of proxies; delivery of final goods; audio playback; subtitle recording; audio mixing; timecode traversal; standards conversion; client content deliveries and more, all uploaded and downloaded through secure platforms, she said.
‘We introduced a European sales bolster some four years ago, and our Madrid-based colleagues now include a number of key personnel from our Executive Team, including Alexis Cárdenas, Vice President of International Sales; Max Wynen, our Vice President of Global Operations; Miguel Burgos, Executive Director of Global Language Services, and a team of experienced Project Managers and Audio Engineers currently working with us’.
Meanwhile,The Kitchen continues to operate successfully in France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Turkey, Israel and Russia, as well as in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico and the USA, while planning to expand to other European locations, which they will announce very soon.
