Guillermo Borensztein, Senior VP of International Content Licensing
After new additions to the international team of TelevisaUnivision, Guillermo Borensztein, Senior VP of International Content Licensing, highlighted the good moment that the company is experiencing in sync with ViX and its development unit.
Borensztein announced that Karina Etchison has joined as Senior Director for EMEA; Claudia Silva as Director of Content Licensing for the Americas, and Mariano Filippini, VP of Strategy and Global Operations at TelevisaUnivision.
This announcement comes after the company made last January, during Content Americas, where they announced a three-year extension of a distribution agreement with Globoplay, which allows the streamer to premiere in Brazil productions made by his counterpart in Mexico, as well as like classics from its catalogue.
‘We are strengthening the team and it is a great pleasure to see the expansion of the reach of important international productions that carry the Las Estrellas and ViX+ brands. We know that international audiences and many clients enjoy our shows, which makes our stellar talents incredibly proud to be in front of this fantastic audience. We hope that our current content offer on MIPTV meets the current needs of the market’, Borensztein told Prensario.
One of the company’s great novelties in the market is Montecristo, a TV series produced by Secuoya Studios and William Levy Entertainment for the TelevisaUnivision streaming platform, ViX+. This project is one of the first in co-production with the Spanish house and is based on the 1844 novel by Alexandre Dumas, being adapted by Lidia Fraga and Jacobo Díaz.
