Olympusat arrives in Cannes with news in its business verticals: The company presents a package of FAST channels in English in the European market. With curated content, the channels i’ts focused on feature film genres of drama, fiction, family, horror and more.
In conversation with Prensario, Aurora Mohler, head of programming and acquisition, pointed out that this new offer of FAST channels comes to ‘diversify’ its already extensive catalog of productions and services for TV: ‘Step by step, we have become one of the largest independent companies in ownership, distribution, production and technical services in networks both in English and Spanish, throughout the Americas. We are located in a central position in the market that allows us very varied alliances, taking advantage of the newest business trends. First of all, we are a good partner to trust and bet on’.
Among recent deals, the company has already signed eOne and Banijay as content providers for its FAST channels. With the first, they start handling top titles such as Hell on Wheels I-VI, Nurses II, Ransom I-III and Deputy I. They are all scripted series that will be broadcast on the group’s Spanish FAST channels, “Tu Cine” and “Top Cine”. In total, today Olympusat has 8 FAST channels in Spanish and 6 Pay TV channels in English. Also among the first are “Cine Real”, “Juntos”, “Saber Más”, “Chiquiline”, “Flash” and “MMC”. In addition, loose content is distributed and produced, with great global potential.
