Federation Studios is boosting its international distribution unit with key appointments, which are taking part in Rendez-Vous 2023. Due to the sales volume that the company has been handling, it appointed Ilan Sarfati, as the documentary-focused international sales manager, and other appointeds.
The commercial team will also include Jerome Ader de la Villardière, that joins Federation as International Sales Manager – Drama and Children for LatAm, Spain, Portugal, and the Middle East. She replaces Isabella Barsumian, who after five years in the Federation left to pursue a new business opportunity.
Sarfati, who assumes the role of International Documentary Sales Manager, covering all territories, joins from premium specialist factual producer/distributor Kwanza, where he also held the role of International Sales Manager.
This newly created position is due to the significant growth of Federation‘s portfolio, precisely by its documentary line-up, thanks to Myriam Weil‘s award-winning productions since she launched the doc label for Federation in 2019, as well as the burgeoning activities of other in-house producers, as well as high-end acquisitions of external production companies.
Sarfati will work with Raphael Blin, Sales and Acquisitions Coordinator for the documentary area since his arrival at Federation in September 2021, who advances as Executive Junior Salesperson while supporting Ilan’s global sales activities in all territories.
