Kapow, a production company founded by Agustín Sacanell and Lucas Rainelli, continues to strengthen its position in the international audiovisual market through strategic alliances and innovative content. Known for its flexibility and successful track record in format sales and the development of both scripted and unscripted content, the company is driving global engagement with high-quality productions.

Kapow first gained international attention in 2008 with the launch of Cocineros Argentinos, a format that aired for over 15 years on Argentina’s Public TV and was exported to key markets, including the U.S., Mexico, Chile, Bolivia, and Uruguay. This long-running hit established Kapow as a force in the market.
Over the years, Kapow has produced notable titles such as Estocolmo (Netflix) and La Jauría (Amazon Prime Video). In 2022, the company premiered Supernova (Amazon Prime Video) and the second season of El Presidente (Amazon Prime Video), which shifted its narrative to Brazil and Europe under the direction of Armando Bo. This series, co-produced with Gaumont and Chilean powerhouse Fabula, marked a historic milestone as Kapow became the first Argentine production company to sign a deal with Amazon.

In 2024, Kapow ventured into the true crime genre with Nahir, el secreto de un crimen, a two-part docu-series for Amazon Prime Video. Produced by Paramount, the series delves into one of Argentina’s most sensational murder cases. Kapow has also worked closely with other platforms, including Star+, producing titles like Terapia Alternativa (Seasons 1 & 2), Los Protectores, and Diciembre 2001. For MAX, it delivered the third season of Jardín de Bronce and Felices los 6.
Kapow’s latest hit, Envidiosa (2024), entered Netflix’s global Top 10 of most-watched series in its first week. The romantic comedy follows Vicky, a woman approaching 40, whose life unravels when her long-time partner leaves her for a younger woman, plunging her into a comedic spiral of envy and self-discovery.
