The Kitchen Appoints Liz Clarke as New Director of Global Sales

The Kitchen, one of the leading global providers of language services for the entertainment industry, has announced the appointment of Liz Clarke as its new Director of Global Sales, further strengthening the company’s international reach. Based in London, Clarke will officially begin her role at the upcoming European industry gatherings such as MIPCOM this fall.

A seasoned executive in operations, business development and sales, Clarke brings extensive expertise in building and managing global sales strategies. According to Deeny Kaplan, Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of The Kitchen, her arrival marks an important step in expanding the company’s footprint across EMEA and APAC. Kaplan also highlighted Clarke’s knowledge of AI technology as a valuable asset to the studio’s evolving service portfolio.

“The UK is the epicenter of the global language services industry for entertainment production. Having lived in London all my life, I’m eager to expand relationships both locally and abroad,” Clarke said. She emphasized the potential of combining The Kitchen’s European language hub in Madrid, its headquarters in Miami, and the growing Los Angeles presence with the new London base to strengthen the company’s position in the market.

Clarke underlined her preference for client-focused companies that are agile and responsive: “Having worked at large corporations, you tend to get compartmentalized. What drew me to The Kitchen is its nimble, client-friendly approach, and the passion of Ken and Deeny, who have led the studio since its inception. Success in this business is about giving your all to your clients, streamlining budgets, and ensuring integrated workflows. One point of contact, one seamless process—that’s the key.”
