Movistar Plus+ is expanding its drama lineup with “Patagonia,” a new drama series starring Itziar Ituño that blends suspense and emotion in a setting as majestic as it is hostile. The six-episode series is currently filming in southern South America and is the result of an international collaboration bringing together talent from Spain and Chile.
The story follows Alicia, a mother grappling with the disappearance of her teenage son, Noah. Desperate, she leaves the Basque Country and travels to Chilean Patagonia to find him. In that vast and wild territory, marked by ancient forests and impenetrable landscapes, the search becomes a race against time where every clue unearths family secrets and wounds from the past.
Directed by Rodrigo Susarte, the series blends thriller elements with a strong family drama component. The cast includes Spanish and Chilean actors, reinforcing the project’s international character.
According to Ituño, it is an “intense and emotional” story, centered on the limits of pain and guilt, with a natural setting that heightens the narrative tension and the characters’ inner journeys.
