The City Council of Calvià, representing the Conecta Magaluf initiative, concluded its participation at the Series Mania Forum on March 26th. The market served as a platform for the Spanish municipality to advance its strategy of becoming an international audiovisual hub, an effort that aligns with its ongoing «Year of Cinema 2026» campaign.

Operating within the market, the Conecta delegation utilized two primary spaces to engage with the estimated 5,000 attending industry professionals. Representatives held strategic meetings at a dedicated table within the «Audiovisual from Spain» pavilion, organized by ICEX, as well as in the general accredited business area. The stated objective of these meetings was to maximize the project’s visibility, foster co-production development, and generate new business opportunities with international agents.
As part of its promotional activities, the delegation hosted the «Copa Conecta Magaluf» on the opening day of the forum. The networking event marked the upcoming tenth edition of Conecta in Magaluf and gathered between 100 and 120 international producers and members of the press in a restricted-capacity setting featuring live Spanish music.
Additionally, the initiative was featured during a professional breakfast organized by ICEX. María Paz Ramos Resa, Chief Counselor of the Economic and Commercial Office at the Spanish Embassy in France, opened the session before Géraldine Gonard, head of Conecta Magaluf, delivered an institutional presentation and screened a promotional video for the upcoming edition. Through these market activities, the Calvià City Council aims to continue its policy of tourism diversification by positioning the municipality as a strategic location for international content creation and production.
