Content Europe: Incognita and Federation sign a licensing agreement

Guillaume Pommier, Senior Vice President of International Sales and Co-productions, Federation Studios.

The French company Incognita Distribution has been chosen to handle the international marketing of Federation International’s documentary catalogue, in a move that redefines the strategy of both companies.

The agreement covers some 900 hours of content and includes productions from Bonne Pioche Télévision and titles from around 70 independent producers from various countries. Furthermore, Incognita will have priority access to upcoming documentary projects from Bonne Pioche and Federation Studios France.

The partnership reflects a realignment of priorities: Incognita is strengthening its focus on documentaries and live entertainment, whilst Federation International will concentrate its activities on fiction — series, films and children’s content.

Titles in the catalogue include Putin’s Secret Weapons, Napoleon The Third: The Bold & Beautiful and Hiroshima: Race to the Apocalypse, alongside The Force of Destiny: A Season at the Heart of La Scala, MH370: Missing and Kabul Chaos.

For Chloé Persyn-Preljocaj, the deal will accelerate the company’s growth and consolidate its international presence. Speaking on behalf of Federation, Guillaume Pommier noted that Incognita was the natural partner to boost the documentary business whilst the group refocuses on its core fiction operations.
