Digital MIPTV officially began on Monday, April 12, with the second presentation from The Wit about «Fresh TV» conferences, this time dedicated to fiction, where highlighted a Spanish and a Brazilian production, and stand out the criminal series as the season trend.
Virginia Mouseler, CEO of the consultancy company, started the conference highlighting last year’s theme, “We may survive», in which the success of All3Media International, It’s a Sin, is framed. And this year, the big trend among the chosen series is, on the one hand, serial killers and true crime stories, and on the other, the retro feeling and portraits of bygone eras, familiar to audiences.
In addition, the CEO highlighted Italian dramas within an almost entirely European list, where two productions from Spain and Latin America shine from the Hispanic world: Parot, the Spanish thriller, co-produced by RTVE, Amazon, ViacomCBS International Studios (VIS) and Onza Entertainment; and the Brazilian drama A Life to Die For, by Globo.
