Beatriz Cea Okan, VP and Director of Sales and Acquisitions

Inter Medya is presenting a substantial slate of Turkish dramas at MIPCOM 2025. The company, which launched its own production department in 2019, emphasizes high-stakes emotional conflicts, complex family dynamics, and narratives involving love and betrayal.

The market offering includes several dramas focused on intense interpersonal and societal pressures. Halef centers on Serhat, who returns to his hometown after secretly marrying the woman he loves, Melek, only to be forced into a second, religious marriage with Yıldız due to a blood feud. As a former surgeon now forced into the role of heir, Serhat must manage his new position and his love life while living under the same roof with both wives. Eshref Ruya follows Eşref, a high-ranking member of a mafia syndicate who spent years searching for a girl from his childhood, «Rüya». He falls for Nisan, an idealistic young musician who is unknowingly the long-lost Rüya, but who is also secretly working as a police informant, forcing Eşref into a deep reckoning with his crew and his own heart.

Another key drama, Valley Of Hearts (107 x 45 minutes), involves Sumru, a wealthy woman in Cappadocia who abandoned her twins. The twins, Nuh and Melek, discover her identity and seek retribution, leading to a confrontation that intertwines with the intense family drama in the Şansalan mansion, which includes a forced marriage and hidden agendas. Heartstrings (120 x 45 minutes) is a family drama revolving around a dramatic hospital error where two daughters were switched at birth years ago. The truth is revealed when Mahinur Aydın seeks help for her sick daughter, Bade, from Aras Yılmazer, leading to conflicts with Mahinur’s controlling husband but deepening the emotional journey of the two biological parents.

The slate also features dramas that focus on female protagonists navigating harsh realities. Fer (Drama, Comedy) follows Dilek, a mother of two separated from her husband, who takes an illegal job as a taxi driver to make ends meet. When a police checkpoint leads to her losing her car, the very passenger who was with her, Şadi, offers her a job that throws her into a dark world, where Dilek must discover hidden strengths to transform her life. Poison Ivy is a story of Macide, a psychology student who falls in love with the older brother of Ahmet, the country’s most successful businessman. Macide’s love for Kazım Işık, a married man, pulls her into a morbid passion and tests her innocence against the cruelty of his rich and powerful life.

In the romantic and comedy genres, Inter Medya offers Chasing The Wind (Romantic, 96 minutes), a film where Ege Yazıcı, a true local, finds himself at odds with Aslı Mansoy, the CEO of the Yazman Group, over the construction of a giant hotel that threatens his surfing cove. Modern Woman (Comedy, 10 x 25 minutes) follows Pınar on her 35th birthday as she struggles to balance her career ambitions with the biological clock, navigating tragicomic situations related to womanhood and family pressure. Finally, Just Friends (Comedy, 20 x 30 minutes) centers on Ece and Umut, whose decision to live together is complicated by a surprise will that grants their shared house to the one who marries first, forcing them to go on dates every day to find a spouse.
